Jarrad Branthwaite has indicated that he is happy to remain with PSV Eindhoven for the season.
The defender, on loan from Everton, has been the subject of speculation recently.
There have been reports the Premier League club could recall Branthwaite and potentially loan him elsewhere over a lack of starts.
But the former Carlisle United player, from Wigton, has spoken of his happiness with life at the Eredivisie club.
The 20-year-old commented on the situation in an interview with Eindhovens Dagblad.
He described PSV and the Dutch league as a "good stage" for his continued development, and added: "I am very satisfied here."
He also spoke of the committed staff and team-mates at Eindhoven, who sit third in the Netherlands' top-flight.
Branthwaite had been linked with a possible January move to Jose Mourinho's Roma.
It followed his early months with PSV which have seen four starts as well as a host of substitute roles.
The England Under-20 international has impressed in some of his PSV outings, including a goal in a 4-3 win over Feyenoord, and a good showing in a Europa League win over Ajax.
